I love that my go-to curse word is "shoes"

and Ms. Alice's was "foot" (as in, "oh, shoes," or, "oh, foot"). She was what, 89, when she died? I loved that precious girl. No one was better at staying childlike and gleeful than she was. And nothing made her happier than ordering, planting, and growing her lilies. 🩷 What a sweet storybook character was she. I can't wait to see her in heaven.

*Amendment: This morning, I used "juniper" as an expletive when I pulled out on the highway and immediately saw that woman coming around the bend --- the one who rear-ended me earlier in the year (... not this one, probably, but another; I was in a different car, and I don't remember when I got this one. I really do think like God in that all time is now and never and forever; it is not linear or stampable --- it's just a made-up measure for tracking memories, which maybe aren't that important after all. It's the essence of a life, of a genealogy, of God's presence inside it all, calling us into obedience, mercy, and grace. The grey space. It's malleable. Pudding. Heaven starts in your heart as soon as soon as you can see it, and I can.)
